FRP pipe and fitings

FRP elbow

Introduction:

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) elbows are pipe fittings made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. Their main function is to change the direction of pipes, ensuring the continuity of fluid flow. They are widely used in medium and low-pressure piping systems to achieve bends and minimize flow resistance.

Features:

Lightweight, High Strength, Corrosion Resistant

The resin matrix is reinforced with glass fiber, making it lightweight, high-strength (density only 1/4 that of steel, strength close to steel), resistant to chemical corrosion (acid and alkali media), high temperature resistance, and aging resistance, with a service life exceeding 50 years.

Low Flow Resistance

The smooth inner wall of the FRP elbow significantly reduces fluid resistance, prevents scaling inside the elbow, ensures unobstructed pipe flow, and prevents blockages.

Multiple Structural Forms

FRP elbows are available in various angle specifications, including 90° and 45°, manufactured using processes such as manual layering to meet different piping needs.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

FRP elbows support multiple connection methods, including flange connections and socket connections, resulting in short construction cycles and low maintenance costs. Custom-made pipe fittings of various shapes and diameters are available to meet specific engineering needs.

Applications:

Chemical Industry: Pipelines for conveying corrosive media such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong salts, such as reactor connections, storage tank inlet and outlet systems; flue gas diversion systems in thermal power plants (resistant to sulfide corrosion and high temperatures); and cooling water circuit connections in nuclear power plants.

Municipal and Environmental Protection: Municipal water supply pipelines (preventing rust and pollution); aeration networks and sludge pipelines in sewage treatment plants (preventing biological corrosion).

Solid Waste/Gas Treatment: Leachate collection pipelines and diversion connections for exhaust gas purification devices.

Food and Pharmaceutical: Elbows made of food-grade resin for conveying sterile liquids in beverages and pharmaceuticals.
