FRP tank

FRP HCL storage tank

Introduction:

FRP HCL Storage Tanks are specially designed for the safe storage of hydrochloric acid and other corrosive chemicals, it is mainly used in industrial line which produce HCl, or use HCl in their production progress. Our FRP tanks offer a superior alternative to lined steel or HDPE, by utilizing advanced filament winding and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) technology, we ensure these tanks offer excellent corrosion resistance, long service life, and reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

Capacity and Dimensions

Capacity Range and Tank Diameter: Standard FRP HCL Storage Tanks diameter: DN500~4000mm, volume approximately 1~200m³.On-site winding of FRP HCL Storage Tanks: diameter: DN4000~15000 mm; height ≤16 m; volume: 75~2000 m³ (customizable).

Tank Height / Length: Customized based onsite conditions

Wall Thickness: Designed according to acid concentration, temperature, and operating pressure

Feature:

Premium Material Composition: FRP HCL Storage Tanks constructed using high-performance vinyl ester resins (such as Derakane) and reinforced with E-glass fiber for maximum chemical barrier protection.

Precision Manufacturing Process: Using Computer-Controlled Filament Winding for consistent wall thickness and high mechanical strength, coupled with a hand-layup internal corrosion barrier.

Extreme Corrosion Resistance: Specifically designed to handle HCl concentrations up to 37%, as well as various other aggressive acids, alkalis, and salts. A designed service life of more than 20 years under normal operating conditions.

Standard Compliance: Compliant with international standards including ASTM D3299, BS EN 13121, and ASME RTP-1.

Application:

FRP HCL tanks is customized according to the design conditions and can only be used within the hydrochloric acid concentration range of the design conditions. If used beyond the range, it will have a certain impact on the tank body.

Automotive and Steel: Durable containment for pickling and surface treatment acids.

Marine and Shipbuilding: Lightweight and salt-air corrosion resistant for offshore use.

Water treatment industry: They are used as safe containers for pH adjusters (such as dilute hydrochloric acid).
