FRP insulation silo

Introduction:

The FRP insulation silo is a high-performance storage solution engineered from Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and integrated with advanced thermal insulation technology. The inside FRP silo is a lightweight and high-strength silo body made of resin and glass fiber. The closed silo body blocks the transfer of heat, thereby achieving constant temperature control. Designed for durability, corrosion resistance, and temperature control, it is widely used in industries such as chemicals, construction materials, food processing, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and environmental protection.

Feature:

Advanced Filament Winding Process: Our FRP insulation silos are manufactured using computer-controlled filament winding technology. This ensures superior circumferential and axial strength compared to traditional hand lay-up methods, resulting in a higher glass fiber content and resin distribution.

Multi-Layer Material Composition: The structure consists of a high-grade anti-corrosion inner liner (vinyl ester resin), a heavy-duty structural layer, and an integrated thermal insulation core (typically PU foam or Rockwool), finished with a UV-resistant gel coat.

Lightweight Structural Advantage: FRP is approximately 1/4 the weight of steel but maintains comparable tensile strength. This significantly reduces transportation costs for shipping and simplifies installation on rooftops or elevated platforms.

Customizable Industrial Dimensions: We offer a versatile range of capacities from 5m³ to 500m³. Dimensions are fully customizable, including diameter, height, and cone angle (60°/45°/30°), to fit specific site footprints.

Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Unlike steel tanks, FRP is naturally inert to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and salts used in the chemical and municipal water treatment industries, eliminating the need for expensive secondary coatings.

Application:

Chemical Industry: In chemical processing plants, many raw materials and intermediates are corrosive or temperature-sensitive. FRP insulation silos provide: Safe storage of acids, alkalis, salts, and chemical powders, Protection against corrosion caused by harsh chemical vapors, Stable internal temperature control to maintain material quality.

Construction Materials Industry: FRP insulation silos are commonly used in cement plants, concrete batching stations, and dry-mix mortar production facilities.

Food and Feed Industry: For food-grade powder and grain storage, FRP insulation silos offer: Hygienic, non-contaminating inner surfaces, Temperature stability to preserve product quality, Moisture control to prevent spoilage. Common applications include flour, starch, sugar powder, milk powder, and animal feed storage. Food-grade resin systems can be used to meet safety standards.
